Using librarything.com, I found the tag cloud for Readers' Advisory Service in the Public Library. As a public librarian providing readers advisory services to patrons in my community, this resource will help in establishing and expanding this service.

Podcast-Competency #3
Using the Yahoo Podcasts search engine, I found "The Four Doorways" podcast (http://www.slq.qld.gov.au/info/publib/news/nancy_pearl). In it, Nancy Pearl describes the 4 ways readers can enter a book. She states that people choose the type of books they do based on at least one of the following elements present in the plot line:
- Story
- Character
- Setting
- Language
I chose this podcast because it will be very helpful in my current job position. As the training coordinator for my department, I am responsible for the reader's advisory training presented to our employees.
